Qutub minar is a victory tower lies in Delhi india.It is a UNESCO world heritage site Mehraulii in south Delhi.
The construction of Qutub minar started by Qutub-ud-din-Aibak in 1199 but he unable to completed it. . and completed by Iltutmish in 1220.
it was 5 stories minar built in different time period. The base diameter is 14.32 meters and top diameters is 2.75 meters. When it completed, height of 71.4 meters with 4 stories.the tower was damaged by lightning in 1369, and its repair and renovation by feroz Shah Tughluq further raised its height by one more storie.
Each stories separator by balcony.the entrance of tower is northern side.and it has a circular stairway of 379 steps. The red sandstone, marble and grey quartzite were used for the construction of tower.
