difficulty breathing - how to cure a breathing problem at home.


Difficulty breathing- Swati is a Class 7 student. Like other days she went to school that day too. Swati's father gets a call from the school that Swati is having trouble breathing, we have taken her to the hospital, you immediately reached the city hospital. By the time Swati's father reaches the city hospital, the doctors give him medicine and injections. Now she is feeling relaxed.


The doctors solve the problem of breathing and tell Swati's father that there is nothing to panic about it. Swati was allergic to flowers. Due to which he had difficulty in breathing, itching, and rash in his body. If it comes back in contact with that flower, it can happen again.


Difficulty in breathing is also known as dyspnea. There are many reasons or causes of difficulty in breathing or dyspnea. Such as chronic sinusitis, allergy, and asthma, airway infections, smoking, etc.

Symptoms of difficulty breathing. Nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, chest congestion, cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, and shallow breathing.


Causes  of  breathing difficulty

1 -Choking This is a medical emergency condition. Sometimes food particles or anything else gets stuck in our airways. Due to this, the sufferer has difficulty in breathing. This situation is more common in young children.




2- Asthma.  This is a condition that causes inflammation in the airways of the asthma sufferer, due to which the airways become thin and narrow.
A person suffering from asthma is troubled by breathing difficulties, chest pain, and cough.
                                          


3- Allergic, our immune system, responds against substances entering the body. Allergies can be caused by any substance. In all people, the response to allergies varies. allergy 
reactions to food ,medicine,dust,insect bites,etc.



4- A heart attack t is a medical emergency. This happens only when blood flow to the heart stops. As the blood stops flowing in the heart, its cells start dying.
Symptoms are chest pain, neck, waist, and arm pain, irregular heartbeat, etc.
                                                     


5 - Airways infections- cause sore throat, enlargement of tonsils, dry cough, mucus, and difficulty in breathing. 

                                                       
6- The disease of the heart and lungs

how to Prevent difficulty breathing

As mentioned above, there are many reasons for difficulty in breathing. Now we have to make our lifestyle in such a way that there is no further problem. such as,

  • If there is known heart disease, take medicine regularly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Eat healthy foods, less greasy, less salt, less sugar. make sure to include fresh vegetables, fruits, salads in your daily diet. Drink plenty of water.
  • Exercise regularly to prevent any future heart and airway problems. If you are overweight then try to reduce it, make a habit of regular exercise.
  • Avoid exposure to things that can cause allergy or asthma. avoid exposure to pollutants. As much as possible avoid staying environmental where allergens and toxins are present.
  • Avoid smoking - When you are tobacco-free, your heart and lungs' power and capacity increase. so, does not trouble in the breathing. The risk of getting cancer is less. Even if you have been smoking for years.
  • If there is a known history of asthma, always carry an inhaler and learn the proper methods to use it.
  • Wash hands frequently and practices good hygiene to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Understand what situations cause anxiety and try to avoid them. visit the doctor regularly for routine medical checkups.
  • If you are on supplemental oxygen, check your equipment regularly. Ensure that the oxygen supply is adequate and the equipment works properly.


Breathing difficulty in children

If the child is struggling to breathe. This means that the child is having trouble breathing.

This happens only if the windpipe has food, or something stuck in it. Or child respiratory tract infection, lungs infection can also cause breathing problems.

Exposure to these things can also cause difficulty in breathing, such as food allergies, drug allergies, pollen allergies, insect bites, or asthma, respiratory tract blockage, heart or lung disease, toxic fumes, etc.

How to identify difficulty in breathing for children - It is natural to raise this question, they are unable to tell their point. Or are unable to explain. Or they cannot speak right now.
We can easily find out that children are having trouble breathing. like,

1 - Fast Breath,

2 - The child pulls the neck to help,

3 - Nostrils flaring,

4 - Breathing very fast,

5 - Lips turn blue,

6 - coughing loudly.


How to help a child with difficulty breathing


1 - Stay with the child and give reassurance,

2 - If the child takes asthma medicine, the medicine should be given, as advised by the doctor. Inhaler or nebulizer.

3 - help the child to sit upright,

4 - do not try to give things to eat or drink,

5 -  call an ambulance immediately.

6 -If the child becomes unresponsive, do CPR.


How to remove anything stuck in the throat or windpipe? remember it.



Stand to the side and just behind a choking victim. Place one arm across the person's chest for support. Bend the person over at the waist so that the upper body is parallel with the ground. 

Deliver five separate back blows between the person's shoulder blades with the heel of your hand. and  Perform five abdominal thrusts.

Alternate between 5 blows and 5 thrusts until the blockage is dislodged.

If someone is having trouble breathing, you can help the victim in this way.

Help the person use any prescribed medicine (an asthma inhaler or home oxygen). Continue to monitor the person's breathing and pulse until medical help arrives. 

If there are open wounds in the neck or chest, they must be closed immediately, especially if air bubbles appear in the wound, and Bandage such wounds at once.

do not give the victim anything to eat or drink while having breathing difficulty. do not press on the victim's chest or hit his/her back.

Check the person's response, breathing, and pulse. If there is no response e,g- no breath no pulse, it's time to do begin CPR, Loosen any tight clothing.
